What's new in Tagbox.io / Tagalongs

Four new things this month - one that'll save your team real time, a couple that give owners more control, and a small-but-requested fix for desktop. Let's jump in!

1. Tagalongs: tags that bring their friends

Meet Tagalongs - our new way to keep your library consistent without the busywork. Set up a rule once, and whenever a tag gets added to a file, its related tags come along automatically.

Tag a city, and the country and state get added too. Tag a product SKU, and its category tags itself in. The win is twofold: you save time by applying just one tag instead of several, and you stay consistent - no more forgetting that second or third tag that makes things findable later.

And it's not only for new tagging. When you create a Tagalong, it also runs across files that already have the trigger tag - so your existing library gets tidied up too, not just what you upload from here on.

2. A fresh settings area

We gave the settings area a proper refresh, and added a couple of things that were overdue - including invoicing and some advanced setup options.

This is just the start. We're digging deeper into specific use-cases and giving companies more ways to tailor Tagbox.io to how they actually work, so expect this corner of the app to keep growing.

3. A new Account Owner role

This one's for our multi-workspace accounts. Until now, admins couldn't always see every workspace under an account - which made managing things trickier than it should be.

Say hello to the Account Owner role. Owners get full visibility across all workspaces, plus control over plans and payment (which admins no longer handle). An account can have more than one owner, and owners can assign additional owners whenever they need to.

We've automatically made account creators the owners of their accounts, so you're all set. If your account doesn't have an owner, or you need a hand sorting out who's who, just reach out and we'll help.

4. Multi-file drag and drop on desktop

You asked, we shipped. The Tagbox Desktop app now lets you drag and drop multiple files at once - no more going one at a time.
